Submission Requirements

Fellow organizations may submit a calendar item online through our online calendar submission form.  The more information provided by the submitting organization, the easier it is for the B.O.B. to determine whether to post an event.  Submitting organizations are encouraged to fill out the online form completely with all pertinent information regarding the event.  This includes information such as:

• Name
• Contact Email
• Private Notes (This information will not be published)
• Event Title
• Link*
• Keywords/Tags
• Event Image
• Image Alt Text (if any)
• Date
• Start/End Time
• Event Description (Event details)
• Event Location Type
• Location

(*) When entering your event or sponsor website link, please use one of the following approved text button labels:  Register, Tickets, Join Us, or More Info.

Items Not Permitted on the Community Calendar

The following are not permitted on the Band of Brother Augusta community calendar:

• Commercial, private, political, or religious advertising
• Private, commercial, or for-profit events
• Events not open to all members of the public
• Partisan political events
• Cause or opinion-based activities that are deemed inappropriate for B.O.B. support
• Discriminate, hostile, or extremist activities
• Fundraisers that are not part of an actual “event” will not be listed on the B.O.B Community calendar. This includes restaurant events that donate a portion of sales to a certain organization (even if non-profit), sales of coupon books, cookie sales, etc.
• Profane language or content
• Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation
• Sexual content or links to sexual content
• Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity
• Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems
• Content that violates the legal interest of any other party

Request Deadlines

Community calendar requests should be submitted online no later than the 15th of the month prior to the event.  For example, a request to advertise an event taking place in December should be submitted by November 15.  Events submitted after the required date may or may not be posted.

Oversight

Anonymous and incomplete submissions will not be posted. The staff of the Band of Brothers reviews all requests to ensure event submissions comply with the standards set forth in this policy.  The Band of Brothers Augusta, Inc. reserves the right to restrict or remove any content or event that is deemed in violation of the policy set forth.
