“To commemorate and honor Juneteenth, empowering students to achieve academic success while celebrating cultural heritage”
The Juneteenth Augusta Scholarship is a program tied to the Band of Brothers Augusta and the annual Juneteenth Augusta Festival, aimed at empowering local students while honoring the historical significance of Juneteenth and encourages community members to support and celebrate young achievers, reinforcing a collective commitment to progress.
This funding was designed to support students that support the Juneteenth Holiday as vehemently as we do, reside in the community we serve (The CSRA area), and have decided to pursue higher education through Technical School, College, or the University systems. The purpose of the Juneteenth Augusta Scholarship is to link the celebration of cultural heritage with tangible support for the next generation and provide tuition assistance for 12 deserving individuals
Through the Juneteenth Augusta Scholarship, the Band of Brothers Augusta bridges the past and future by honoring history, celebrating progress, investing in the potential of young minds, and empowering young individuals to achieve their dreams; ensuring that the spirit of Juneteenth continues to inspire and uplift the CSRA community.
