Mission

“To engage and feed those that are less fortunate throughout the community and involve those we serve in finding solutions to eliminate hunger and assist them in becoming self-sufficient”

Objectives

  • To find, feed, and engage individuals or families that are considered less fortunate in the CSRA community.
  • To seek relationships with organizations, public and private corporations, foundations, and individuals who share a passion for serving the less fortunate and to develop a collaborative plan for action.

Summary

The Band of Brothers Augusta (B.O.B.) Break Bread Project is dedicated to addressing food insecurity within the community by providing nourishing meals to individuals or families in need.  The program aims to alleviate hunger and contribute to the well-being of individuals and families facing economic challenges.  

Through a combination of community engagement, volunteer efforts, and partnerships with local organizations, the B.O.B. endeavors to create a supportive environment where everyone has access to a nutritious meal.  By fostering a sense of solidarity and compassion, the Break Bread Project aspires to make a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with food insecurity, fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

The B.O.B. is committed to maintaining an organized and effective approach to its mission by implementing a quarterly coordination strategy.   The program will conduct thorough assessments of the community’s evolving needs at the beginning of each quarter, ensuring a targeted response to specific challenges. The B.O.B. will collaborate closely with local partners, including businesses, volunteers, and other support networks, to enhance outreach and amplify the impact of their efforts
